Anchorage Greens is looking to hire for our Garden Assistant position.  Full time or part time opportunities available. 
Job Description

 

The Anchorage Greens farm is a cheerful and efficient hydroponic farm that grows premium lettuces, leafy greens, and herbs. 

 

The Garden Assistant position is an entry-level position but one with opportunity for growth and leadership. The Garden Assistant will work closely with the business owners to learn all aspects of the hydroponic farming business.  Depending on skills and interest of the employee, this position may include job duties such as planting, transplanting, and harvesting greens; maintaining the hydroponic grow beds; greeting customers; delivering greens to restaurants; and other duties as assigned. The ideal candidate will be extremely detail-oriented and organized, and enthusiastic about growing delicious high-quality products. This employee will be comfortable working independently on assigned tasks, but also able to work as part of our close-knit team.

 

We are looking for full time, or part time, employees who are available between the hours of 9am and 6:30pm, Tuesday through Saturday.  We can offer flexible work hours within that time frame.

 

The ideal candidate will: 

● Have 1+ year working in a food or gardening industry, or be passionate about gardening and eager to learn 

● Be able to work well individually as well as collaboratively

● Be detail oriented and organized

● Be reliable and enthusiastic
